According to Bloomberg, some areas in Zhengzhou were closed in close proximity to the main production base of Taiwanese contract manufacturer Foxconn. It is there that the world’s largest iPhone assembly site is located.
It is reported that the closure of the above areas may be followed by a temporary shutdown of production at the Foxconn plant in Zhengzhou. This, in turn, will negatively affect the supply of iPhone and may even cause a shortage of Apple smartphones.
